Think, Speak, and Affirm Your Thoughts into Existence

Your mind is a powerful thing. It consists of your thoughts, your words, and what you do with them. But the question is, how are you using that power? Exactly what are you thinking, which words are you choosing, and do they really support your greatest desires? Do you affirm your thoughts into existence?

Most importantly, it is your thoughts that you repeat the most that become your reality. Your dominating thoughts are the cause of your present and are an indicator of your future.

It is, therefore, important that your thoughts are positive and are reflective of where you want to go and the person you want to become.

Think negatively, and you will achieve negative results. Think positively, and
your dreams become attainable.

On average, we have 50,000 thoughts per day. 90% of them are repetitious from yesterday, and 85% of them are negative. We sell ourselves short when we repeat what we thought yesterday, last week, last year, or worse, last decade.

Some thoughts we picked up from other people – they aren’t even ours. We just adopted them without even knowing if they are true or accurate.

The greatest number of our thoughts involve incessant worry about the future and/or guilt about the past. We have to find a way to overcome these repetitive and negative thoughts as they hinder the power of positive ones. We have to regain control of our thoughts to make them work for us rather than against us.

Thinking your goals into existence requires that you affirm your thoughts and take charge of your feelings, and emotions.

This isn’t an easy thing to do, but there are management strategies that you can implement. What’s important to keep in mind is that taking control is actually easier than staying stuck in an unfulfilling life. Your life can only improve with positive thoughts.

Whatever thoughts you put out into the world, will come back to you. If you are constantly putting out negative thoughts, you will consistently receive negative feedback. You are making things harder on yourself.

Think of every thought as energy. Thoughts are not just pictures in your mind, they are a vibration. Every positive thought that you have will attract a positive effect.

When you start practicing conscious awareness and control of your most repetitive thoughts, you will become more aware of the words you’re choosing to express them. These words will be the building blocks for affirmations, and affirmations make it possible to interrupt and reverse habitually negative or unproductive thoughts.

Think about the words that you use and how you could upgrade them. For example, instead of saying “I can’t afford that” ask “How can I afford that?”. It changes the discussion that you have within your mind.

It positions your mindset positively and offers opportunities instead of resistance. Continued resistance only wastes time and energy and prevents you from turning to productive paths. You have the power to rewire your thoughts and thinking patterns.

The strategy of unplugging is effective in rewiring your thoughts.

Once you have identified a habitual thought pattern that is distracting or emotionally upsetting, tell yourself to unplug. Picture your unsupportive, worry-laden patterns as an electrical current flowing through a cable plugged into a wall socket. Say “I unplug!” and envision yourself ripping the plug out of the wall and instantly ending the life of what it was connected to.

Unplugging is final – it is more than just stopping. Stopping leaves the possibility of starting again. By pulling the plug, you’re cutting off the energy to your unwanted thoughts.

You are also refusing to perpetuate these thoughts with your emotions. You are giving yourself a new opportunity to put your positive thoughts into action.

Another strategy that works to interrupt repetitive or negative thinking is “Until
now”.

Whenever you catch yourself saying something negative, tell yourself “until now”. This will allow you to apply and direct the power of your mind to turn negative thoughts into positive ones.

For example, if you tell yourself that you’re not very good at something and just ignore the thought, it has the power to come back.

If you interrupt it, however, you change the power and energy of the thought. If you add “until now” to any negative thought, you are taking a clear, non-judgmental stance that returns you to the positive.

When you own up to the existence of something, you also make a commitment to fix it.

This responsibility and acknowledgment are critical in being able to make your thoughts work for you. Think, speak, and affirm your thoughts into existence. Accomplish the things you have always dreamed of and become the person that you know you can be.
