4 Steps to Turn Your Vision Into Reality

Have you taken the time to imagine a life-changing or ground-breaking vision? If so, you have a responsibility to see it through. You owe it to your vision to make it happen. You owe it to your vision to see it bigger. You owe it to your vision to make it a reality.

4 Responsibilities to Turn Your Vision Into Reality

First, you are responsible for fine-tuning your vision and perfecting it. As your vision plays out in front of you, you can make improvements or guide it in different directions. It is equally as important to be flexible and adaptable.

Sometimes your vision doesn’t play out exactly how you originally saw it, and that’s okay. That is part of the beauty of your vision and all of its possibilities – it truly can take you anywhere.

Second, you are responsible for remembering how far you’ve come. Take time to reflect on the struggles or hurdles that you’ve faced to get where you are now. We get so busy that we forget where we were before. Many people say that if someone told them their life would be like this a year ago, they wouldn’t believe them.

But that’s what vision is all about – believing that anything is possible. It is up to you to believe that the most amazing and awe-inspiring things can happen to you. Be proud of where you came from, where you are now, and be even more proud of where you are going.

Your vision is limitless, and you are responsible to follow it wherever it leads you.

Third, you are responsible for focusing on the present.  Be careful not to get too far ahead of yourself. If you look at the gap, it will trip you up. You will wonder “How will I ever get there?” The doubt sets in and you begin wondering about the how.

Focus on the next step. That’s it – the one that’s right in front of you. Stay unstructured and be flexible. If you focus too much on the how, and things don’t go as planned, you will question if you will ever get there or if you will ever be able to make it happen.

Know that today is possible and have the same mindset tomorrow. High intention is key, but so is low attachment. Know where you are going, but don’t get attached to how it is going to look. Look at the next logical step and keep your eyes on your vision.

Fourth, you also have a responsibility to others. If you are in any sort of leadership role, there are others who look to you as part of their vision. They look to you for inspiration or advice on how to make their visions possible.

If others don’t see you following through on your own vision, it will affect theirs. We are all connected and so are our visions. Visions are also co-created. We rely highly upon our team and as part of a team, we are never alone. This means that our vision does not stand alone either. All of our visions are connected and rely on each other. The success of one can mean the success of another.

Visions, like us, are more powerful together and get bigger and stronger together.

When you are responsible for your vision, you confirm its existence. You are dedicated to it and it is more likely to actually happen. When you affirm your vision, the universe will respond.
